Meet Our Staff
Kimberly Kuhn, DVM, CHPV graduated from the University of Missouri in May of 1989. She has been practicing veterinary medicine in Virginia since graduation.
She has found a special interest in older/geriatric dogs and enjoys helping them grow older gracefully and improving the quality of their lives through their silver and golden years. Dr. Kuhn was part of the first graduating class of veterinarians to earn their credentials in Animal Hospice and Palliative care.
Outside the office, Dr. Kuhn's interests include hiking, camping, yoga, and biking...basically anything outdoors.
She currently has two dogs, Charlee and Fletcher, both terrier mixes and two cats, River and Stuart.
Dr. Alex Dahlgren
Alex Dahlgren, DVM, CHPV graduated from University of Georgia in 2006. She practiced emergency veterinary medicine for 2 years before joining Cary Street Veterinary Hospital in June of 2008.
Dr. Dahlgren became certified in veterinary acupuncture through Colorado State University's program. She has special interests in older dogs and cats, working dogs and sports medicine, and pain control and rehabilitation medicine. She was also part of the first graduating class of veterinarians certified in Animal Hospice. In addition, she also enjoys behavior and training and has experience training search and rescue dogs. After the new Richmond city Chicken ordinance was passed, Dr. Dahlgren is now seeing chickens at our practice.
In her free time, she enjoys biking, hiking, running, swimming and camping. She has 2 sons, Liam and Asher, who also keep her busy. She also brews a strong Belgian beer.
She has two cats named Annapurna and Huckleberry. She loves to hike, run, swim and camp.
Dr. Amy Learn
Dr. Amy Learn, VMD graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. After graduation she completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery with rotations in medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, dentistry, general practice, emergency, oncology, dermatology, cardiology, and neurology. She has been practicing general medicine for 14 years and is Fear Free and Low Stress Handling Certified. In addition to general practice, she volunteers at the Richmond Spca to assist with special needs dogs and cats. In 2017, Dr. Learn started her residency in veterinary behavior and is co-mentored by Dr. Radosta and Dr. Amy Pike in Manassas, Virginia.
Kim Raible LVT, CCRP
Kim is a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) with over twenty years of career experience spent dedicated to the pursuit and implementation of high quality standards in patient care. Her professional history reflects her commitment and active contribution to the practice of progressive medicine. While she has explored many facets within the veterinary field, her primary area of interest is in mind and body wellness. This focus led her to obtain her certification in Canine Rehabilitation from the University of Tennessee in 2010 and in 2017, complete an extensive Small Animal Medical Massage course through the Integrative Medicine and Education Center as well as accomplish her Fear Free Certification. Currently she is a member of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, American Association of Rehabilitation (Technicians) Veterinarians, National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America, and the Virginia Association of Licensed Veterinary Technicians. Kim views physical rehabilitation as a critical and necessary service required to ensure an optimal standard of care in veterinary medicine.
